✈️ Flying across the world with your owner... but not as easy as I thought.❗️🐩🩷

"Hello, ❗️ Dana is here ~ I just got off the plane from 🇺🇸 America and arrived in Thailand ❗️ but before I got out of the airport... there are a lot more steps than I thought."

🐾 Take a flying dog. America → Thailand. What to do?

(Dana's been through, save it. ❗️) 📌

✈️ First of all - the airline story.

⚠️ Not all airlines can fly. I have to check.

Dana flew in with Korean Air.

Route America → Bangkok. Stop by Incheon.

🔹 Most airlines only accept two flights.

🔹 Dena's in the cabin with the owner all the way. 🩷

📋 STEP 1 - Find a veterinarian certified by a state agency.

✅ must be a USDA certified veterinarian only.

✅ I recommend two months in advance of flight.

✅ I can help you with all the papers and vaccines.

📋 STEP 2 - Vaccines and Microchips

✅ Microchip - Must only be implanted before vaccination! The sequence is very important.

✅ rabies vaccine - must have been injected for at least 21 days.

✅ other vaccines must be complete and not expire.

⚠️ If the vaccine expires in Thailand, it can't return to America. ❗️

Must plan for the vaccine to last throughout the period of stay in Thailand too

📋 STEP 3 - American Side Papers

✅ Health Certificate - Issued by USDA-accredited vet

⚠️ The fastest is 10 days before the flight. Don't do it too fast.

✅. Let USDA APHIS certify another class.

✅ Import Permit - Apply from the Thai Department Online

At least 15 days in advance. And exact flight required.

⚠️ Book tickets first and then do the paperwork!

📋 STEP 4 - Re-entry America Document (Very Important)

✅ must issue Re-entry before leaving America.

Used when re-entering America.

✅ Certified rabies vaccination

✅ certified that the Scan Microchip has been successfully passed.

📋 STEP 5 - Import Permit Document Thailand

✅ Contact Suvarnabhumi Airport Department directly.

✅ Dog owners must complete the paperwork before the day of travel.

✅ Check the website, the airport department or the airport department in advance.

⚠️ Not recommended to wait 48 hours - should be done 1-2 weeks in advance

📋 STEP 6 - Travel Day

✅ Check in at the counter (can't check in online if there are animals)

✅ notify the airline in advance that it has a pet.

⚠️ Dana weight + bag together must not exceed the limit.

Dana weighs 3.5kg, including the bag, just ~ 5kg ✅ pass comfortably!

📋 STEP 7 - To Thailand Airport. It's not over yet!

✅ through Immigration → to Animal Quarantine first.

✅ Doctor check up + check all the papers

✅ Get a Rama 7 license from the Department

✅ Walk to the Goods to Declare channel, pay a fee.

💰 About 500 baht (document fee) - Prepare cash!

✅ done!! Get out of the airport. 🎉

📋 STEP 8 - During Thailand, Don't Forget ❗️

⚠️ dogs can stay in Thailand for less than six months.

⚠️ If staying more than 6 months - vaccines and documents may expire.

May be quarantined and returned to America more difficult

⚠️ No weight gain over limit! Otherwise, can't really go back to America.

Dana has to be careful with food in Thailand. 🍚😂

📋 STEP 9 - Return leg America

✅ New Health Certificate in Thailand Before Flying Back

Issued by a certified Thai veterinarian

✅ Use Re-entry documents made before leaving America.

✅ Check the requirements of CDC + USDA inbound in America.
