A friend’s LIVE last night and church this morning both reminded me…
Motherhood can be beautiful and hard at the same time.
And God still meets us there 🤍#mothersday #momlife #motherhoodunfiltered #healingjourney #FaithOverFear
Motherhood truly encompasses a wide range of emotions and experiences that not everyone gets to see. I've often felt that apart from the visible joys of watching a child grow, there is a heaviness that many mothers carry silently. This Mother's Day, reflecting on my own journey and listening to others, I realized how critical it is to acknowledge both the beautiful and challenging sides of being a mom. Sometimes, the pressure to appear joyful can overshadow real feelings of exhaustion or struggle. It’s okay to admit that some days you’re just surviving, not thriving, and that’s valid and real. What struck me most is how motherhood involves caring not just for your own children, but sometimes carrying the weight of others’ expectations, worries, and hopes. Faith has been a cornerstone for me in these moments—reminding me that wherever we are in our motherhood journey, there is grace and support. The community I found through shared experiences, whether in church or heartfelt conversations, brought me peace and strength. Gratitude for the small victories and grace for the tough days makes all the difference. If you are feeling indifferent or overwhelmed like I did, remember you are not alone. Motherhood doesn’t have to look perfect to be meaningful. Sometimes, just keeping going, showing up with love despite the challenges, is a powerful testament to your strength and dedication. This acceptance and realness are what I’ve learned to embrace and continuously remind myself of as I navigate motherhood’s beautiful complexity.
