#Read when you’re ready 🤍
From my own journey with parenting and mentorship, I realized that approaching children as individuals with their own feelings and strengths leads to better relationships and growth. The phrase "Not About Fixing Your Child" really resonated with me because it reminds us that children aren’t projects but people. Instead of focusing on changing what seems 'wrong' or challenging, I found that listening carefully and validating their experiences builds trust and openness. This approach encourages children to develop confidence and self-awareness. It also reduces stress for both parent and child, creating more positive interactions. It’s essential to shift our mindset from trying to 'correct' behavior to understanding the root causes behind it. Often, children express themselves through actions rather than words, signaling needs for attention, support, or simply being heard. When you address these needs compassionately, you nurture emotional intelligence and resilience. Sharing my experiences with friends, I've heard how adopting this view has transformed their parenting and teaching styles as well. Recognizing that growth comes from connection, not control, helps children thrive. It's empowering for parents to see themselves as guides and supporters rather than fixers. Ultimately, embracing this philosophy helps foster a loving, accepting environment where children feel safe to express their true selves. It builds a foundation for lifelong healthy relationships and personal development.
Amen 🙏 to that God Bless all our children in Jesus Christ Name Amen 🙏💕💯🫶🏻
