✨ Reminder - Babies 🛑 ✨
I cannot stress this enough!
During postpartum, the mother goes through many changes to include hormonal changes. This can impact how we feel, how we react, and more.
Even at your happiest time bonding with your baby, there will always be points of frustration.
The way you would have reacted before baby is could be different than with a baby.
If you feel frustrated, angry, sad, etc put your baby down in a safe place and walk away. Or, ask your partner to take your baby and remove yourself from the area. You never. Want a moment in time to become your biggest regret as it will pass.
If you see signs of depression and hopelessness, don’t turn to social media. Contact your doctor immediately. These days many lack a village, but all of us know the struggles we experience and someone will always be there.
Remember, your sweet baby wants their mom, loves their mom, and seeks your safety. But, that doesn’t mean your mental health or wellbeing is secondary.
Find stuff to bring additional importance to your life outside the baby, like reading, drawing, music, working out, etc. walking with the baby.
These feelings will always pass, but if you determine nothing has changed you’re likely suffering from the areas addressed above.
None of us are perfect, but As a mom, and new mom again…we got this 🩷❤️💙
