2026 is all about better habits
I went into this year thinking why am I stuck lacking discipline, lacking motivation, constantly exhausted…I keep creating these goals or repeating the same goals I didn’t accomplish but that excitement only last for a moment. When I successfully lost 100lbs (and clearly gained it all back lol) I didn’t really think about it. I made fitness a priority without forcing it. It became a lifestyle.
My goals are all about becoming this better person but achieving the goal isn’t how that’s accomplished, it’s in the journey. Everyday habits so this year is all about falling in love with the routines future Meech has until future me becomes present me!
Starting a new year often sparks a motivation boost, yet sustaining that momentum can be challenging. From personal experience, the key to long-term success lies not just in setting goals but in creating consistent habits that align with your vision. In 2026, shifting from a mindset of ‘survival mode’ to thriving means embracing routines that feel natural and manageable daily. For instance, instead of fixating on drastic changes, gradually integrating small habits like a short morning stretch, mindful breathing, or prepping healthy meals can build discipline gently yet effectively. When I lost 100 pounds previously, the transformation felt more effortless because fitness became an integral part of my lifestyle—not a forced obligation. Even though I regained the weight later, that experience taught me that true change isn’t about instant results but embedding behaviors into daily life for the long haul. If you find yourself stuck in repetitive cycles of motivation and exhaustion, try reflecting on what emotionally drives you towards your goals. Then, design your habits around those motivators to maintain excitement. Falling in love with the journey, rather than rushing to achieve end goals, encourages resilience and self-compassion. Remember, 2026 can be the year you redefine your approach. Focus on progress instead of perfection—celebrate small wins to build momentum. By adopting better daily habits, you empower your future self to confidently become the present version of you that you aspire to be.
