That instantly creates a desire to know more. It taps into the emotion of wanting better skin, the relevance of struggling with dullness, and promises a result – glowing skin without breaking the bank. Those three traits of great hooks – Emotion, Relevance, and Results – are what truly fuel that curiosity. To make sure that curiosity gap works within the critical 1.7 seconds, your opening has to be impactful. Visually, this means a captivating thumbnail or the very first frame of your video. Textually, it's about that opening sentence. I've found playing on 'fear of missing out' or 'unexpected results' works wonders. I'll write 5-10 different hook ideas for a single piece of content, test them with a friend, or even just gauge my own reaction. It's about finding that perfect blend of enigma and promise that forces a stop-scroll. This intense focus on the beginning has been transformative for my engagement metrics.
