Well we made it home safely thank u @carnival #carnivalcruise #carnival #carnivalfood
During my 5-day Carnival cruise, I made it a point to try an eclectic mix of foods from the buffet and specialty restaurants. One thing that stuck out was the braised beef—truly a 10/10 experience with tender, flavorful meat that felt like a home-cooked meal. The tomato soup, while simple, surprisingly reminded me of a quality spaghetti sauce, which gave it a comforting twist. I also sampled the slow-cooked ribs and shrimp tacos, though the tacos couldn't quite compete with what I’m used to back in Texas – their flavors were decent but lacked that homemade zest. Mushroom soup and clam chowder offered variety, and hydrating was a must after indulging, especially with that standout tequila pop margarita that I highly recommend for a refreshing treat. One thing to note: not every dish was a winner. My friend’s extra small Caesar salad was underwhelming and even the medium steak was a bit disappointing, full of fat and not quite the premium cut expected. Thankfully, the buffet offers plenty of alternatives, including a fantastic Cajun pasta and a salad with salmon that packed a nutritious punch. The highlight of dining was Fahrenheit 555, a specialty restaurant where the filet mignon and lobster were exceptional—definitely worth the extra cost. Lobster bisque was another masterpiece, deserving a 1000/10 rating in my book! Pro tip for future cruisers: you can take food to go from the buffet. I wished I'd known that earlier because there were nights when I just wasn’t very hungry but didn’t want to waste what I’d paid for. For breakfast lovers, the eggs Benedict was consistently amazing and I found myself missing it on days I didn’t have it. I also enjoyed some tasty cheese plates and chicken salad sandwiches from the deli, alongside sushi from Bonsai, the ship’s sushi restaurant. All in all, dining on the Carnival cruise was an adventure full of highs with a few minor lows. It’s the perfect mix for those who love trying different dishes and appreciate good food paired with a relaxing voyage.
