My self-care isn’t fancy… but it keeps me from turning into a gremlin. 🧌Here’s what fills my cup:
Cute nails 💅, good food with my people🍱, diamond art therapy💎, crafting chaos🧵, date nights❤️🔥, cooking 🥘, and a little bowling to humble me. 🎳😆
Here’s how I break it down👇🏾
Daily- I diamond paint something I’m working on daily. It zones me out and helps manage my stress levels bc I zone out hard. I love to watch my favorite shows, listen to podcasts/music, or watching YouTube while doing so. I also cook dinner 2-3 times a week, and I love trying new recipes!
Weekly- Every Tuesday is bowling league night, and I get to bowl with my mom. It’s something we look forward to every week and I truly enjoy the sport and community.
Monthly- I get my mani/pedi every 3 weeks, and normally go out to eat/drink with girlfriends maybe once or twice monthly.
🙋🏽♀️So tell me….How have you filled your cup lately?
... Read moreFilling your cup with consistent self-care routines can truly transform mental and emotional well-being. The activities mentioned like diamond art therapy provide a therapeutic outlet by promoting mindfulness and helping to zone out from everyday stressors. Engaging in creative crafting allows for a hands-on way to focus energy positively and unwind.
Cooking with loved ones not only nourishes the body but also strengthens bonds and creates joyful experiences. Trying new recipes keeps mealtime interesting and an exciting part of self-care rather than a chore. Likewise, weekly bowling league nights offer a fantastic opportunity to connect socially, enjoy friendly competition, and stay active, all of which contribute to overall wellness.
Regular mani-pedi appointments are a simple pampering ritual that enhances self-esteem and provides a relaxing break. Social outings with friends add a valuable layer of emotional support and fun, counterbalancing daily pressures.
To build your own self-care routine, consider what activities help you relax or bring joy. These might be creative hobbies, physical activities, or moments spent with supportive people. Consistency is key—daily, weekly, and monthly rituals help maintain balance and replenish your energy regularly.
Remember that self-care doesn’t need to be elaborate or expensive. Even small, simple acts like crafting, enjoying good food, or spending time in community can fill your cup and prevent burnout. Paying attention to your needs and making time for these practices ensures a healthier, happier you.
