Tell me your choice + your job 👀

Let’s talk real-life choices 👀

Would you rather work 4 days a week with lower pay and more time to live your life — or 5 days with higher pay but less personal time?

With today’s cost of living, this isn’t an easy answer. Sometimes you want balance… sometimes you need the money.

No wrong answers here! I’m genuinely curious 👇🏾

What would YOU choose and why?

I think I would take either job. Because either way you still get a couple of days off. And one of those off days I would use to find something that I could make more money with and work less time with. So no matter which job I chose, I would find a way that I could do something that I could make just as much if not more than either job with less time and then once I got into that line of work then if I did not feel like doing it, the regular job I was hired for, then I could devote more time to the other stream of income that may better suit my needs.

Honestly, it depends on the season. As a therapist, I’ve learned that time and capacity matter just as much as income. If my basic needs are covered, I’d choose the 4-day workweek for the extra rest and recovery because burnout is real in helping professions. But with today’s cost of living, I also understand choosing the 5 days when stability or financial goals require it. Balance looks different depending on what you need in that moment.
