5 Below 90s nostalgia!!
I was so surprised to see so much 90s nostalgia at 5 below! I thought this store was mostly for kids but here’s stuff from 90s kids shows! A lot of cute stuff there right now. Also suggest checking out the new stationary things, they were putting a whole bunch of new stuff out at mine today including some stuff I couldn’t pass up for my desk.

My recent trip to 5 Below was an unexpected blast from the past, and I just had to share more! It's not just about finding cute new stationery (though they have plenty of that too!), but stumbling upon those gems that instantly transport you back to your childhood. I've been seeing so many fellow 90s kids talking about "nostalgiacore" lately, and 5 Below is definitely leaning into it with some incredible throwback items. First off, the sheer variety of 90s cartoon merchandise is mind-blowing. I was thrilled to spot a vibrant Powerpuff Girls lanyard – perfect for adding a pop of retro fun to my keys or ID badge. And let's not forget the adorable Powerpuff Girls ceramic bowl set with chopsticks. Imagine eating your ramen out of that! It’s these little everyday items that truly make a difference in bringing that nostalgic joy into your adult life. Beyond Townsville's heroes, my eyes immediately gravitated towards the Nickelodeon section. Remember Angelica Pickles from Rugrats? They had a whole bin overflowing with plush dolls of her! It made me wonder what other iconic characters might pop up. For anyone searching for "five below nickelodeon" items, keep an eye out for characters from Hey Arnold!, Ren & Stimpy, or even items related to Lizzie McGuire, which often gets grouped into that early 2000s/late 90s vibe. You might even find something that brings back memories of Angelica Pickles' famous belly button monologues! It's not just the big-name cartoons either. The store is packed with general "90s nostalgia items" and "throwback 90s stuff" that might surprise you. I even spotted a charming Care Bear pin on a rainbow card, reminiscent of the classic 80s/90s Care Bear craze. These small, affordable treasures are perfect for collecting or gifting. Think about those "forgotten things from the 90's" – maybe Pogs, slap bracelets, or even mini troll dolls could make an appearance in future drops! You never know what "5 below toy" you'll unearth. My advice for fellow nostalgia hunters? Go often! Their stock rotates quickly, and new arrivals are constantly hitting the shelves. What you see today might be gone tomorrow. Also, don't just stick to the toy aisles. Check their home decor, stationery, and even their accessories sections for those unexpected "nostalgic 90s items." It's like a treasure hunt every time, and finding these pieces from an era when life felt a little simpler is just such a joyful experience. Happy hunting for your own "plush 5 below toys" and other retro gems!
