Tabs I Have Open As A Nurse 🫶

At any given moment, I usually have several tabs open during my work day. Working as an outpatient nurse has caused me to need different tabs open throughout the day as I am responsible for many different areas.

1) Epic: this is the charting system we use so it is ALWAYS open. This allows me to see every provider’s schedule, MyChart messages, patient phone calls, and utilize our secure messaging.

2) CoverMyMeds: allows me to submit prior authorizations for medications

3) Sticky notes: I have so many things on my sticky notes and I’m always having to click open the application to find something I need. Super handy to have as it’s super accessible!

4) Google: I am always having to look up phone numbers, fax numbers, how to pronounce certain words, or look up things I have never heard of. Just don’t use Google for medical advice!
