MY FAV SONGS

not sure if it is because i am very indecisive, but my favorite songs change A LOT!

but recently, these songs hit a soft spot in my ears!!

now, for a story time. imagine your in third grade. you’re playing kickball at recess with your teacher rolling the balls in the middle of the square. you’re standing behind him ready to catch any ball that comes your way. he rolls the ball and this random kid in your class hits it straight to you.

however, since your very unathletic , you focus on the ball like it’s the only thing in the world. your own ticket in to the cool jocks and your moment to shine is coming up.

then your teacher steps back trying to catch the hall and you fall straight onto the concrete and pass out from wacking your head so hard! you wake up moments later with your whole third grade class standing above you watching. third grade me began sobbing profusely.

after going to the nurse who had the reptutation to not believe child illnesses. she sent me back to class after giving me a water bottle.

my brother comes to pick me up at the end of the day and we start walking home. turns out i had a very serve concussion. the knot was the size of a baseball! haven’t play kickball since 😭 #storytime #lemon8contest #songrecommendation #summervibe #kickball #recesshorror #elementaryeducation #badnurse #funny #unfiltered

... Read moreHey everyone! You know how some songs just have this timeless vibe that sticks with you, no matter how many new tracks drop? That's exactly how I feel about some of my absolute favs right now. While I mentioned a few in my post, I really wanted to dive deeper into some of the classics that are still hitting my playlist hard, especially anything by Uncle Kracker. Speaking of which, you absolutely have to check out 'Drift Away' by Uncle Kracker if you haven't already. This song is pure comfort in auditory form, an instant mood booster. It’s got that laid-back, feel-good country-rock vibe that just makes you want to roll down your windows and cruise, or just chill out on a lazy afternoon. For me, it evokes so many feelings of nostalgia, like those endless summer days when you didn't have a care in the world. The lyrics about just wanting to 'drift away' and listen to the radio really resonate when you need a mental escape from the daily grind. It's the kind of track that instantly lifts your mood and reminds you of simpler times. It's truly a gem that stands the test of time, and honestly, it's been on repeat for me lately. Every time I hear it, it's like a mini-vacation for my ears, bringing a sense of calm and happiness. And while we're talking Uncle Kracker, another one that often pops into my mind and definitely deserves a shout-out is 'Follow Me'. While 'Drift Away' is all about that mellow escape, 'Follow Me' has a slightly different, more introspective yet equally catchy energy. It's got that infectious rhythm and a story-telling quality that makes it so engaging. I remember first hearing it and just being drawn into its unique sound – a perfect blend of pop and rock elements. It’s amazing how Uncle Kracker manages to blend different genres so seamlessly to create these iconic tracks that just stick in your head long after they've finished playing. If you're looking for something with a great beat and thoughtful lyrics that make you reflect a little, 'Follow Me' is another fantastic choice from his repertoire that always manages to find its way back onto my playlists. It's definitely a track I'd recommend for anyone looking for that perfect blend of chill and catchy, and it's no wonder people are still searching for its video to relive those nostalgic vibes. It's funny how certain artists and their songs become the soundtrack to different moments in your life. Beyond these classics, I'm also loving tracks like Benson Boone's 'Slow It Down' for its raw emotion, and Billie Eilish's 'BIRDS OF A FEATHER' for its atmospheric beauty – truly fitting for those deeper, reflective moments. And for something completely different, the 'Feel' from the 'Lies of P' Original Soundtrack has this incredible cinematic quality that really pulls you in. Whether it's the carefree spirit of 'Drift Away' or the thoughtful vibe of 'Follow Me', or discovering new sounds, these songs just prove that good music never gets old. They offer that perfect blend of familiarity and feel-good energy. So next time you're curating your own playlist, don't forget to give these timeless tunes and some fresh picks a listen! You might just find your new (or old) favorite track to 'drift away' with.
