When I first thought about making paper cup snowmen for our holiday gathering, I honestly just pictured simple white cups with drawn-on faces. But oh my goodness, it turned into such a fun and creative project! My friend and I gathered our supplies – just plain white paper cups from the dollar store and a bunch of colorful markers. We also grabbed some construction paper scraps for scarves and little pom-poms for noses, which really made them pop. The trick is deciding on your snowman's personality! We had a blast giving each of our ten little snowmen different expressions. Some had goofy smiles, others had cheeky winks, and one even ended up with a surprised look. We cut out tiny strips of colorful paper for scarves, which we glued around the rim of the cups. For the noses, small orange pom-poms or even just an orange marker dot worked perfectly. I even tried my hand at a 'Stitch' themed snowman for a bit of extra character, inspired by some other designs I'd seen! It’s incredible how much character you can give these simple cups. Seeing them all lined up, ready for the game, was so satisfying. Once our little snowman army was complete, it was game time! The classic "snowman snowball toss" is a huge hit. We stacked our decorated snowmen in a pyramid formation, just like you’d see at a carnival, and used soft, fake snowballs – the kind you can find at any craft store – for tossing. The goal is to knock down as many snowmen as you can. We set up different point values for knocking down snowmen from different tiers of the pyramid, which made it even more competitive. For younger kids, you can place the snowmen closer and use lighter 'snowballs' like crumpled paper. Beyond just tossing games, these paper cup snowmen are incredibly versatile. They can be adorable table centerpieces for a holiday brunch, adding a handmade touch to your decor. Imagine them grouped together on a festive tablecloth! You could even use them as unique gift holders – just fill them with small candies or tiny trinkets and cover the top with tissue paper. They also make fantastic place card holders for a Christmas dinner; write each guest's name on the snowman's hat or scarf. Another fun idea is to turn them into a 'pin the nose on the snowman' game for kids. Or, for a storytelling activity, have each child pick a snowman and invent a story about its adventures. The 'Here Comes the Sun' poster in our background reminded me that even winter crafts can bring a lot of warmth and cheer! It’s all about getting creative and making memories. These humble paper cups truly transformed into something magical and brought so much laughter to our party. Don't underestimate the power of simple craft supplies to spark joy!

Haha that's cute and looks like it will be fun game. Nice idea.
