So how’s your year going?
Looking back on a year filled with both challenges and achievements, it's inspiring to see how resilience and determination can shape one's journey. Starting January with a bold move across four states in a U-Haul — a testament to courage and commitment to creating a fresh start. Staying connected via live streams while driving shows how technology can support us during uncertain times. Moving into a new apartment in February not only marked a change in scenery but also led to the rekindling of important family bonds with nieces and nephews, highlighting the value of nurturing relationships. March brought mixed experiences — progress with personal health as weight loss was achieved, yet concerns arose with early signs of health issues indicated by symptoms like yellowing eyes noticed in April. Such signs underline the importance of paying close attention to our bodies and seeking timely medical advice. May was a month of hospital visits and surgery for both the author and her mother, underscoring the challenges many face with family health crises and the strength needed to support loved ones through difficult times. Despite financial struggles in June, resourcefulness shone through by finding free activities to enjoy summer — an excellent reminder that joy doesn’t always require spending money. July involved emotional farewells and unique family dynamics as the author’s sister took on caregiving responsibilities after years apart, emphasizing how family structures and roles can evolve unexpectedly. August marked a proud achievement with graduation from nail school, symbolizing personal growth, creativity, and new career opportunities. By September, small milestones like taking license pictures demonstrate progress toward independence and new beginnings. This year encapsulates themes of adaptability, family connection, health awareness, financial savvy, and personal achievement. It reminds us that even when life throws curveballs, maintaining hope, embracing change, and celebrating the small victories can empower us to move forward.

I'm so proud of you
