I turned down an airport job to do this which is fine cuz I love my job I just needed something new. I’m forever thankful that I get to do this because it has changed my life - I just know that I need more support all the way around at work and at home so this is what’s best for my family and I. Most importantly my mental health ❤️ I have to be able to show up every single day and it felt like I couldn’t do that anymore. The gas is killin me , the extra hours taken out my day to be in a car disgusts me haha dramatic but deadass. This too shall pass so I’m fighting for it and it will be done with soon so cheers to this new beginning 🥂🙌🏾❤️ #leaving #newjob #newproperty #demoted #corporatejob

... Read moreLeaving a corporate job is a significant decision that often involves many factors like mental health, work-life balance, and financial considerations. The phrase "Why I'm leaving" mentioned repeatedly in the OCR content suggests the author's strong emphasis on explaining their departure reasons, particularly around the challenges faced in their previous role. Mental health plays a pivotal role when deciding to leave a job. Prolonged stress, lack of support, and excessive work hours can lead to burnout, which ultimately affects one’s ability to perform and show up at work consistently. Recognizing the need to prioritize mental well-being is essential for long-term career satisfaction and personal happiness. Additionally, the rising cost of commuting, referenced as "the gas is killin me," highlights the financial strain that long travel times can impose. Extra hours spent in traffic reduce personal time and increase fatigue, making the job feel burdensome rather than rewarding. Many professionals facing similar conditions seek new opportunities that align better with their values and lifestyle. This may involve choosing careers that offer more flexibility, better support systems at work, or proximity to home to reduce commute stress. This new beginning is not just about changing jobs, but about reclaiming control over one’s life — ensuring support both at home and work, and fostering an environment conducive to mental health. Taking such a step shows courage and a commitment to self-care, reflecting a growing global trend where employees value well-being over traditional job security. In summary, understanding the deeper reasons behind job changes can provide valuable insights for others contemplating similar moves. It reminds us that career success and personal well-being are not mutually exclusive but can be harmoniously integrated for a fulfilling life.
