Importance on warming up before workout 💪🏾

Why is it important to warm up?

You have to get the blood flow and your heart rate up.

I did leg workouts today! So I wanted to get the blood flow. I typically warm on a bike. 8 minutes to my highest potential and then 2 minutes to cool down.

Do not skip your warm up and cool downs.

Stretch stretch stretch!

A proper warm-up increases blood flow to your muscles, which improves flexibility and reduces the risk of injuries. Activities such as dynamic stretching and light aerobic exercises can elevate your heart rate and get your muscles ready for intense workouts. For instance, cycling at a moderate pace for around 8 minutes can effectively increase your body temperature, ensuring that you perform to your maximum potential and minimize the chances of muscle strains. Additionally, incorporating cooldown routines post-exercise is equally important to help your body gradually adjust back to its resting state, tightening the recovery process. Remember, consistency in warm-up and cooldown practices not only protects your body but also enhances your overall fitness journey, allowing you to stay active and injury-free.
