Gym do nots!
Story time. I was in the middle of doing crunches on a machine. This random lady came up and was tapping me on the shoulder. I turned around because I thought maybe just maybe it was someone I knew. It was not and she proceeded to tell me what she did while she was on the machine and saying how she went from a size 24 to 18. I’m glad she did that butttt……..
Do not touch me
Do not interrupt me during my sets
Do not forget to mind your business
I was furious not because she was talking to be but she interrupted me and she touched me. At the same time I was still nice even though I did not like that.

Navigating the gym environment can be challenging, especially when it comes to personal boundaries. It's important to remember that gyms are shared spaces where everyone is focused on their personal fitness journeys. One of the most significant gym do nows is to respect others' workout space. Unsolicited advice, unless asked for, can be disruptive and may not be appreciated, as seen in the experience shared in the article. Staying focused on your own routine can help foster a positive atmosphere. Additionally, if you're unsure about an exercise or need assistance, consider asking someone at a more opportune moment when they're not in the middle of their set. Moreover, communication is key in maintaining gym etiquette. If you need to share equipment or ask a question, do so in a polite manner without interrupting someone’s workout flow. Respect for personal space is also paramount. If you're not familiar with the other gym-goer, it's best not to invade their personal space, whether through physical touch or by standing too close. Everyone has their own comfort levels regarding proximity when exercising. In addition to these etiquette rules, remember to be aware of the noise level. Loud conversations or disruptive behavior can affect the workout experience for others. Being mindful of your surroundings and considerate of noise can go a long way in creating a respectful and encouraging gym culture. Overall, fostering respect and understanding in the gym is crucial for everyone to enjoy their time there. The gym should be a safe haven for setting and achieving fitness goals, where everyone can feel comfortable and focused.
