✨Friday’s Budget Meal✨Cheesy Beef Ravioli 🍝

Happy Friday budget meal besties!

Tonight we are going to have a guest star cooking up our meal, who just so happens to be my sister-in-law. Her cooking tonight proves not only are my meals & recipes affordable, but also even kids can make these meals.(with supervision, of course.) She whipped up this meal in under 20 minutes.

🚨 Also, I had meat left over because I only decided to use 1 pound of meat with my baked ziti, but if you used both packets of meat, you may only have a pound of chicken to work with. Either way this dinner would have turned out fabulous with Italian sausage, ground beef or even chicken.

🙌🏽My meal plans are versatile and can usually be used with any protein and any day of the week not just the days that I have them listed on. If you notice I swapped Thursday for Friday, the chili for the ravioli, because my kids did not feel like having pasta two days in a row. You can certainly utilize the budget meal series as a guide to best serve your family. Remember these are your families, your kitchens, & your way. AnyWho, I hope you all enjoy tonight‘s meal.

... Read moreIf you're like me, finding a dinner that's both budget-friendly AND gets rave reviews from the whole family is the ultimate win. We recently whipped up this Cheesy Beef Ravioli, and let me tell you, it's a 10/10 simple and easy cooking recipe that's now on our regular rotation! It’s incredible how quickly you can get a satisfying meal on the table, especially when life gets hectic. Now, let's talk about making this dish your own. While the original article mentions the ease of swapping proteins, I want to dive a bit deeper into how you can truly customize this Cheesy Beef Ravioli to fit your family's taste and what you have on hand. For a classic ground beef and ravioli recipe, I usually start by browning a pound of lean ground beef in a skillet, breaking it up as it cooks. Once it's no longer pink, drain any excess fat. This is where the magic begins! Stir in your favorite marinara sauce – a good quality jarred sauce works wonders for speed – and let it simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld. If you want to make it a bit richer, a splash of red wine or a pinch of sugar can really elevate the sauce. For those who love a creamy beef ravioli, it's incredibly simple to adapt. After your beef and sauce are simmering, stir in about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of heavy cream or even some softened cream cheese until it's fully incorporated and smooth. This adds an amazing velvety texture and richness that feels incredibly indulgent, but it still keeps the prep time down. Trust me, it transforms the dish! If you're a fan of Italian flavors, trying a sausage ravioli recipe instead of beef is a fantastic alternative. Simply swap the ground beef for a pound of Italian sausage (mild or hot, depending on your preference). Brown it, break it apart, and drain the fat. You can even add some diced bell peppers and onions to the pan with the sausage for extra flavor and veggies. Once cooked, proceed with the sauce as usual. The fennel and spices in Italian sausage bring a whole new depth to this cheesy pasta bake. As for the ravioli itself, while I appreciate the idea of homemade beef ravioli, for a weeknight budget meal, frozen or refrigerated store-bought cheese ravioli is your best friend. It cooks quickly and perfectly, making this entire dish a breeze. You'll layer half of your cooked ravioli in a baking dish, top with half of your meat sauce, then a generous sprinkle of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Repeat these layers, finishing with plenty of cheese on top. Bake it until bubbly and golden brown, and you'll have a delightful Cheesy Beef Rav (as my family fondly calls it) ready to devour. Remember, the beauty of this recipe is its versatility. Don't be afraid to experiment with different cheeses, add some spinach to the sauce for extra greens, or serve it with some garlic bread and a simple side salad. It's a fantastic way to enjoy a hearty, delicious meal without breaking the bank or spending hours in the kitchen!
