Repotting plants can be a rewarding experience that not only revitalizes your greenery but also promotes healthier growth. Recently, I tried using a lava rock and aeroid mix to repot one of my plants, specifically a tai variety. This unique mix offers excellent aeration and drainage compared to typical soil, which helps prevent root rot and supports robust root development. Lava rocks are porous and lightweight, providing the roots with ample oxygen while retaining just enough moisture to keep the plant hydrated without becoming waterlogged. Post-repotting, I watered the plant lightly and kept it in indirect sunlight to allow it to adapt gradually. I've noticed that plants repotted using this method tend to grow more vigorously, develop healthier foliage, and require less frequent watering.
