Does anyone do this with their kids?

I love holiday clothes. I always have. There’s just something about festive outfits that makes the season feel more special. That said, I also think holiday clothes are wildly overpriced most of the time.

I thrift a lot, but I do like having brand new pieces too. Especially for my son. So what I’ve started doing is buying Christmas clothes when they go on sale and grabbing the next size up. Sometimes even two sizes up. That way, when the next Christmas rolls around, my son already has festive outfits ready to go. No scrambling. No paying full price because I waited too long.

I’m not against paying full price when it makes sense. I just don’t think it always does. For our family, buying holiday things on sale works better. Clothes, pajamas, even wrapping paper. My kid isn’t going to grow out of wrapping paper, so why not buy it when it’s marked down and save it for next year?

I do this with Christmas, but honestly, I do it with every holiday. It’s one of those small things that makes life feel a little more prepared and a lot less stressful when the season actually gets here.

Does anyone else shop this way, or is it just me?

I shop this way for myself ! lol it’s honestly a great way to stock up on items. One year I found of winter jackets on sale and I been using them ever since. The most expensive one was $23 instead of $100.
