Bags from around the world ✈️🌎
1. YSL Nano Sac De Jour (pebbled leather):
I love the handbag / crossbody versatility. It’s a great starter bag (can’t to wrong with a nice, leather black bag) but the popularity of it has made me grab for it less and less over the years lol (a bit basic now IMO 🥲) but maybe it’ll make a comeback for me! It holds meaning and marked a major milestone so no regrets.
2. Celine Tricolor Luggage Nano:
It’s super durable so I can toss it around a bit without worrying about it damaging. The green / blue color combo has so much personality and I love that I got it for SUCH a great price!
3. Liebeskind Berlin Hobo Shoulder Bag:
The style is relaxed so I usually style this with more casual outfits. The light pink adds the perfect pop of color to neutral tones. This one was under $200!!
4. Miu Miu Ivy Tote in sand/coffee:
One of my favorite purchases of last year!! I bought a purse organizer insert (amazon) to keep the inside in order which was an amazing addition. I don’t think it’s the right bag for airplane travel bc it doesn’t have a zipper closure for safety, the leather is delicate and the lining is canvas (can get dirty easily) but for day to day, it’s PERFECT.
Side note, did anyone else notice how many times I said “bag” in this video? 😂😅

So, you've seen my personal travel bag collection and the stories behind each one, but what if you're looking for your perfect companion for your next adventure? Choosing a bag for globetrotting is more than just aesthetics – it's about practicality, comfort, and security. Through my own experiences, I've learned a few things that might help you pick your next travel gem, whether it's a sleek crossbody or a spacious tote. First off, let's talk about crossbody bags. They are an absolute lifesaver for hands-free exploring! When I'm sightseeing or navigating busy markets, having my essentials secure and close to my body is non-negotiable. Look for one with a good, sturdy zipper closure – that extra bit of security makes all the difference. An adjustable crossbody strap is super nice to have, ensuring it sits comfortably regardless of how you’re dressed or what you’re carrying. Think about what you absolutely need to access quickly, like your phone, passport, and a small wallet, and choose a size that fits those without being bulky. Then there's the versatile travel tote. While my Miu Miu Ivy Tote is perfect for daily use, I've learned that for airplane travel, a secure closure is crucial. If you're considering a tote, especially for day trips or carrying extra shopping, make sure it has a zipper or at least a strong magnetic clasp to keep things from spilling out or getting lost. I also swear by a good purse organizer insert for my totes – it keeps everything tidy and easy to find, which is a blessing in an unfamiliar place. When it comes to materials, some totes are soft and super easy to pack into a larger suitcase, while others offer more structure and protection. Material matters a lot, too. My Celine, for example, is super durable, allowing me to toss it around a bit without worrying about damage. On the other hand, my YSL and Miu Miu have more delicate leather that requires a bit more care. For travel, consider materials that are easy to clean or water-resistant if you're heading somewhere rainy. Lightweight fabrics can also make a huge difference, especially if you're prone to overpacking or need to pack the bag itself. Finding a bag that's both flexible and secure, as my Liebeskind Berlin Hobo is, makes it a joy to travel with. And let's not forget budgeting and value! As I shared, I've found amazing deals on designer bags by buying them abroad or through vintage stores. Don't be afraid to hunt for sales, explore pre-loved options, or invest in a high-quality contemporary brand. Sometimes, paying a bit more upfront for a bag that will last years and stand up to travel wear and tear is more economical than buying multiple cheaper bags. The goal is to find something that feels like a great price for the quality and utility it offers. Just like my Lisbon find, I knew I’d have that tote for the rest of my life, making it a worthwhile investment. Ultimately, the best travel bag is one that fits your needs, your style, and your travel habits. Prioritize secure closures, comfortable straps (especially for crossbody or shoulder bags), and a material that suits your destinations. And remember, sometimes the best bag is the one that has a cool story tied to it, making every journey a little more special!
