🍲 Pho Noodle Soup ($16.50)
Warm, hearty, and super comforting. Broth is rich and easy to drink, not the most “authentic” style, but honestly very enjoyable.
🦆 Smoked Duck Dry Noodles ($15.50)
The star for me. Smoky duck + crunchy peanuts + fresh veg = a lot of texture and flavour. Slightly more modern twist but really satisfying.
🥢 Roasted Pork Spring Rolls ($7.50)
Fresh, light, and a nice starter to share. Nice to eat at the start when it's more fresh and I think the roast pork is a good protein. I'm grateful when places offer spring rolls other than prawn because I'm allergic to prawns :(
Overall thoughts
✔️ More comfort-style Vietnamese than traditional
✔️ Decently affordable (~$7–$16 range)
✔️ Good for casual meals, easy to like
Having visited Viet & Beans Bistro several times, I can personally recommend how their menu creatively blends comfort and freshness. The smoked duck dry noodles stand out—not only for their smoky flavor but also for the delightful crunch from peanuts and the fresh veggies that balance each bite. I love that the spring rolls feature roasted pork instead of prawn, which is ideal for people with seafood allergies like me. The pho, while not the most traditional, presents a rich broth that’s deeply satisfying, especially on cooler days. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size, making it great for casual dining without stretching your budget. One tip: visit early if you're in a group because the spring rolls are best enjoyed fresh and crisp. The bistro delivers that cozy vibe that makes it popular among locals, yet it remains unpretentious. It’s a wonderful find if you’re craving Vietnamese comfort food without the fuss.
