Creating tasty homemade cat treats is a rewarding activity that not only keeps your furry friends happy but also helps you bond with them during training sessions. Each ingredient in this easy-to-make recipe serves a purpose: tuna packed in water is an excellent source of protein and hydration for your cats. The egg serves as a binding agent and contributes additional protein, while flour provides structure to the treats, making them crunchy and easy to digest. Adding catnip gives these treats an enticing aroma, ensuring that your cats will be drawn to them. Storage is key to maintaining freshness, so keep these treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator where they can last up to 12 days. You can also experiment with other cat-friendly ingredients like pureed pumpkin or shredded chicken to keep things interesting for your pets. Homemade treats are not just healthier; they allow you to control what your pets consume, avoiding preservatives and artificial flavors commonly found in store-bought options. This recipe not only encourages positive behaviors but is also a fun way to engage with your cats, making your bonding moments even more special.

Silly question could you substitute the tuna for like a canned chicken because my cat ironically has a allergy to fish ðŸ˜
