am i too old to play with slime? 👵🏾

before you start reading… guess the slime color in the comments!

as an adult i have this thought all the time. then i saw how much slime costs and i was like oh my gosh… this is nuts!

but i went ahead and ordered some anyway, just to try it out. i got two different kinds: lavender cow which has a fluffy could texture, and lavender lemonade which is the more typical sticky gooey type of slime.

this will be great to fidget with during meetings or when im having a brainstorming session. and the bottle is so cute it can make great desk decor!

i don’t know if i will order more, im pretty happy with the two i have right now. but its safe to say that slime is not just for kids! adults can enjoy it too.

... Read moreIt's a question many of us secretly ponder: "Am I too old to play with slime?" And my answer, after diving headfirst into the wonderfully squishy world of adult slime, is a resounding no! Like so many grown-ups, I used to associate slime purely with childhood fun and sticky messes, but my recent experience has completely changed my perspective. For adults, slime offers a surprisingly potent blend of benefits that go far beyond simple play. First and foremost, it's an incredible stress reliever. The simple act of squishing, stretching, and manipulating the tactile substance can be incredibly grounding. I've found it invaluable during long meetings or intense brainstorming sessions. Instead of nervously tapping my pen or fidgeting, I can quietly engage my hands with the soft, pliable texture of my "Lavender Cow" cloud slime or the satisfying goo of "Lavender Lemonade." It helps channel nervous energy and provides a gentle, non-distracting way to maintain focus. Beyond stress relief, slime can serve as a fantastic sensory tool. The different textures – from fluffy cloud slimes to the more classic sticky, gooey varieties – offer unique tactile experiences. There's something almost meditative about the way it moves and feels in your hands. It can help bring you into the present moment, much like a mindful exercise. Plus, the subtle scents, like the lavender in my Peachybbies slimes, can add another layer to the calming experience. It’s a small, personal moment of tranquility amidst a busy day. If you're wondering where to order slime for yourself, you're in luck! The world of artisan slime shops online has exploded. Brands like "Peachybbies Slime Shop," which created my beloved "Lavender Cow" and "Lavender Lemonade," specialize in high-quality, beautifully crafted slimes designed with both aesthetics and sensory pleasure in mind. When you're looking to order, consider what you want from your slime. Do you prefer a quiet, fluffy cloud texture for gentle squeezing, or a satisfyingly stretchy, clicky clear slime? You can often find a variety of colors, from vibrant pinks and yellows (like the box I received) to calming purples. Just remember the important rule: these are sensory toys, so always heed the "DO NOT EAT" warning! Incorporating slime into your adult life can also be a subtle form of desk decor. The cute containers and vibrant colors can brighten up any workspace, making it less utilitarian and more inviting. It acts as a conversation starter and a gentle reminder to take small breaks throughout the day. It's a simple, accessible way to inject a bit of fun and self-care into your daily routine. So, if you've been on the fence, I wholeheartedly encourage you to embrace your inner child (or just your stressed adult self!) and give adult slime a try. You might just find your new favorite way to unwind and focus.
