Some kitchens feel “sticky” even when you clean.

... Read moreFrom my experience, tackling an oily and sticky hob goes beyond frequent cleaning—it's about understanding how microscopic oil mist behaves in your kitchen's airflow. Those invisible particles can linger long after cooking, settling in hard-to-reach corners and surfaces. I found that lightly decluttering around the stove and maintaining clear space (around 5-10 cm) on both sides helps air pass through and moves the oil mist upwards, reducing buildup. Using lids during cooking and opting for deeper pans can significantly reduce oil mist in the first place. Also, even a brief ventilation period after cooking—opening a window or turning on an exhaust fan—can make a noticeable difference because humidity can make oily residues stick tougher to surfaces. I no longer strive for spotless counters but focus on minimizing the places where oil can settle. This approach has made maintaining a cleaner, less sticky kitchen much easier with less effort overall.
