Summer Color Combos You Need to Try!
summer is such a fun season to try cool color combos, here are a few of my favorites:
brown + blue: this is a popular color combo right now, it’s so flattering and playful especially with patterns like polka dots or stripes. great for any occasion like brunch, shopping days, dinners, or just lounging at home
red + green: this one’s super colorful and bright, perfect for summer! I like to tone it a bit back by styling with camel colored accessories
yellow + brown: butter yellow is everywhere but don’t be afraid of mustard yellow! I love this paired with creams and browns
Summer is an ideal time to experiment with colors that brighten up your mood and outfit. From my personal experience, embracing color combos like brown + blue can instantly add a playful yet sophisticated touch to your look. I love incorporating patterns such as polka dots or stripes, which enhance the combo's visual interest and make it versatile for brunches or casual days out. The red + green pairing is a bolder choice but truly summer-appropriate with its vibrant energy. To keep it wearable and less overwhelming, I recommend toning it down with camel-colored accessories, which add warmth and a grounded feel to your outfit. This technique helps balance the brightness without losing the fun essence of summer fashion. Yellow and brown is another favorite, and I encourage not just the popular butter yellow but also the richer mustard yellow. Mustard adds an unexpected depth, especially when paired with creams and browns, bridging summer and fall colors beautifully. This combo works wonderfully for layering pieces or mixing textures. In addition to these combos, consider the occasion and your personal style when choosing your summer hues. Accessories play a crucial role in tying your outfit together, so experiment with neutral tones to balance vivid colors. Lastly, don’t shy away from mixing prints and textures within these color combos, as it further elevates your style and allows for lots of creative freedom during the sunny months.
