Jesus is the Reason.

Sounds familiar?
I know it is.
This is our usual script each time we fail God.
But did you know?
Peter felt the same shame!
But NOT after he failed but after he obeyed.
NOT after he made the biggest mistake but after he saw the miracle of Jesus.
When Peter saw the goodness of God displayed in Jesus, it magnified his own spiritual bankruptcy.
And you know what’s more amazing?
Jesus replied, “𝐃𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝,”
According to commentaries, in the grammar of ancient Greek, this is literally “𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥”; it calms an existing fear.
Hear Jesus telling you to put down that shame and fear.
God wants to relate to us on the basis of love that accepts and not on the basis of fear that paralyzes!
This is what makes Christmas even more amazing!
Jesus came for our shame.
