Went on a holiday in Guangzhou, and of course I had to check out the Chinese Pokemon exclusives 🤩
There are 2 Pokemon centres in Guangzhou - the official TCG gym at Grandview mall, and the merch shop at Beijing Lu’s Tianhe City (mall).
The giant gym at Grandview mall had very limited cards, and most of what we wanted were sold out 🥲
The smaller merch shop in Tianhe City was FULLY stocked, and we even managed to cop the 30th edition packs there (before a group of men RAN into the store to grab the boxes behind us).

Besides cards, both locations offer varied merchandise ranging from magnets to plushies, which could be great souvenirs. Interestingly, Miniso outlets also carry Pokémon packs, but stock varies widely between locations. If you want a reliable source for cards at MSRP, the official Pokémon Centres remain your best bet. Keep an eye out for purchasing limits to avoid missing out since some shops restrict quantities to ensure fair availability. Overall, exploring Guangzhou’s Pokémon card scene was a unique way to combine my holiday with my passion for TCG collecting.
