In her memory
My husband asked me what I wanted for Valentine's Day and honestly I couldn't think of anything. There was only one thing I had been thinking about getting done since early February, Jasmine's collar and tags needed a display.
So yesterday for Valentine's Day we went out and got one.
Today we put it together.
It has Chase's favorite collar her collection of them, one of our favorite pictures, her very first tag, and her Auburn pretty pretty.
It all feels more complete now.
Creating a memorial display for a beloved pet like Jasmine is a touching way to preserve their memory and keep them close to your heart. When I decided to assemble a display for my own pet’s collar and tags, I found the process healing and meaningful. Arranging items such as a favorite collar, first ID tag, and special photos not only brings a sense of closure but also allows you to relive precious moments. In my experience, selecting a dedicated space for the display made it feel like a small shrine, giving Jasmine a special place in the home. Adding personal touches like decorative borders or a plaque with her name adds to the emotional value. This kind of tribute can be especially comforting around significant dates like Valentine’s Day or anniversaries. If you’re looking to create a similar memorial, consider including items that represent your pet’s personality and the bond you shared. Whether it’s a collar with unique tags, a framed picture, or even a favorite toy, these mementos help keep their spirit alive. Additionally, this kind of visible remembrance can be a source of comfort during times of grief, reminding you how deeply your pet touched your life. Ultimately, memorial displays serve as both a celebration of life and a gentle way to cope with the loss of a cherished companion. By preserving Jasmine’s collar and tags in such a thoughtful arrangement, the feeling of completeness and connection is beautifully upheld.
