Happy Sunday ☀️

This morning, I kind of panicked, because when I was waking up my kindle, it didn’t want to wake up. It was stuck on the book cover. Tried restarting it by holding the power button, nothing was happening. I was preparing to buy a new one already 😭 I put the charger on, and it finally flicked off and showed it needed to charge. It didn’t even warn me of low battery last night, so I didn’t think it was already dead, and plus the book cover was still on. Thank you, lord!

Maybe I should buy a back up one after all? 🤣

... Read moreAre you a book lover who sometimes feels anxious about your reading devices? The sense of loss when faced with technology failings, like a Kindle running low on battery, can be overwhelming. This Sunday, I experienced that fright when my Kindle refused to wake. Though it eventually needed a charge, it made me ponder the standards of our reading habits. In today's digital age, while eBooks and audiobooks have surged in popularity, many readers still cherish physical books. It's crucial to balance these preferences. A backup device like a secondary eReader or even a few classic paperbacks can prevent moments of panic when tech fails. Additionally, consider creating a reading nook where your selection of books, whether digital or physical, is easily accessible. This not only enhances your reading experience but also provides comfort during moments of tech uncertainty. Engaging in conversations with others can be beneficial too. Platforms like Lemon8 across the #bookwormsoflemon8 and #readersoflemon8 tags foster community discussion, sharing experiences and solutions among avid readers. Embracing both analog and digital reading, we can ensure the joy of books continues unimpeded, even when devices falter.

If you're interested in reading horror books but don't know where to start, I definitely recommend you start with an anthology book which is a book of short stories by different authors (or by the same author). anthologies or short stories help you get acclimated with different authors and
