July reading wrap up 🎗️

2024/8/1 Edited to

... Read moreYou know, looking back at my July reading challenge dashboard, hitting 22 out of 25 books felt like a huge win! For anyone searching for 'someone reading a book,' let me tell you, it's not always about hitting big numbers, but about the joy of getting lost in a story. This month, I truly embraced my inner bookworm, diving deep into worlds like the one suggested by that 'EMARION' map I saw illustrated in 'The Kindred’s Curse saga' – pure fantasy escapism! I often get asked how I manage to read so much, or how I pick my next adventure. Honestly, it's a mix of curated recommendations, my ever-growing TBR list, and just following my mood. This July, my mood was definitely 'romantasy cravings' – and those books delivered! There's nothing quite like finding a series that grips you from the first page and keeps you up late, just needing to know what happens next. It's a feeling I chase with every new book. When I think about what makes 'someone reading a book' a truly enjoyable experience, it's not just the words on the page, but the whole vibe. For me, that often means curling up in my favorite spot, maybe with a cozy blanket, and a warm drink. Sometimes, after a long day, there’s nothing better than settling down with a good book while dinner simmers – speaking of which, I've had some epic reading sessions with a pot of homemade spaghetti bubbling on the stove, adding to that comforting atmosphere! It's those little moments of peace that make reading so special. I also love tracking my progress, similar to that digital dashboard you might see in reading apps like Storygraph. Seeing my reading moods charted out, or how many stars I’ve given different books, really motivates me. It's not just about the stats; it's a visual reminder of all the incredible stories I've experienced. If you're looking to get back into reading, or just want to read more, I highly recommend setting a small, achievable goal for yourself. Don't feel pressured to read a certain genre or a certain number of books – just pick up what sparks your interest. Whether it's a thrilling fantasy epic, a heartwarming romance, or a thought-provoking non-fiction, the act of reading opens up so many new perspectives and adventures. I hope my July journey inspires you to pick up a book and start your own! Happy reading, fellow #bookwormsoflemon8! What's been your favorite read recently?
