Thank you to Chelsea Curto & Love Notes PR for this ARC 🩷
Power Play by Chelsea Curto (D.C. Stars book 2), releasing on October 24, 2024.
If you know me well, then you’ll know I blindly read books. I don’t check blurbs or tropes until I’ve finished the book. So, imagine my shock when I stumbled onto the marriage of convenience plot—my jaw hit the floor! I had no idea that was the trope for this book 😂 This is exactly why I love reading blindly—nothing beats the thrill of being completely surprised!
This book was incredibly sweet. The main characters and the hockey team—the found family dynamic always get me, especially when it’s done right. And this one nailed it again! The self-discovery and communication? Perfection! The “teach me” trope? HAHAHAH! Highly entertaining!
