This Catherine Cowles book has now topped all the 18 others I’ve read. Truly the queen of small-town romantic suspense! I loved the emotional moments as well as the humor and fun throughout.
Brae and her son were absolute gems! The Gen Z or Gen Alpha slangs killed me every time. Normally, I would find it a bit too much, but it was used so well in this story. The way the adults were so confused by it was the perfect balance between the old generation and the new. Super relatable! I loved it! I also adored their dog, Yeti! The sweetest and cutest family member ever.
The Archer Brothers have stolen my heart. They are all affected in their own way by their deceased serial killer father, yet they have a heart of gold, and I can’t wait to get my hands on their stories. As always, the found family aspect got me good. This was such a wonderful start to a new series!
