The relationship was cute, however, I felt like they had more chemistry as friends. I loved how close they were getting and watching them slowly break down each other’s walls. The emotional side really got me, with Kian struggling with his family to Scarlett secretly confronting her biological father.

I enjoyed the Asian representation, most especially the Filipino rep (hi, I’m Filipina, if you didn’t know). There were a lot of points that made me giggle and think, “Gosh, that’s so Filipino.” It helped me connect with our FMC so well because of how relatable she was.

Overall, it really was a cute read and I enjoyed it.
