April Reading Wrap Up💐🫶🏼✨

I read 4 books this month and somehow 3 of them were fully physical reads…which, if you know me, is actually insane because I’m a Kindle girl through and through. But honestly, such a good reading month - every single one was a 5⭐️ read (surprise, surprise).

My two standouts were In Her Own League and In Your Dreams and WOW…these completely blew me away. In Her Own League by Liz Tomforde (the Windy City spin-off) felt like the perfect goodbye to one of my all-time favorite series and chosen families (I devoured 2/3 of it in one sitting). And In Your Dreams by Sarah Adams, being the final book in the When in Rome series made it so special too, such a perfect wrap-up. I went in with insanely high expectations for both and they still exceeded every single one. I got so attached to these characters, and Monty and James?? The greenest of flags, actual dream men. Not really sure how I’m supposed to top this reading month because wow… the bar is set HIGH. What was your favorite read this month?

5/4 Edited to

... Read moreThis April, I found myself surprisingly drawn back to physical books despite being a devoted Kindle user for years. There is something uniquely satisfying about holding a book in your hands—the weight, the feel of the pages, and the ability to annotate or dog-ear favorite parts. It made my reading experience more immersive and personal. Among the four books I read, two truly stood out in the romance genre, showcasing strong storytelling and character depth. 'In Her Own League' by Liz Tomforde, a spin-off from the Windy City series, captures the essence of chosen families and heartfelt goodbyes. I could hardly put it down, finishing most of the book in just one sitting, which speaks to the captivating narrative Tomforde crafted. Similarly, 'In Your Dreams' by Sarah Adams wrapped up the 'When in Rome' series perfectly, blending elements of longing, love, and closure with finesse. The characters Monty and James particularly resonated with me—they are the kind of characters you root for, exemplifying green flags and emotional growth. These books rekindled my love for romance novels that combine warmth with compelling plots. This month also introduced me to engaging thriller books that kept my adrenaline pumping alongside the romantic tales. Balancing multiple genres kept my reading fresh and exciting, preventing any monotony. For avid readers looking to diversify their April reading lists, mixing romance with thrillers can create a well-rounded experience. If you’re like me, you’ll appreciate how a carefully chosen book can set the mood for the day or offer an escape from reality. Has anyone else recently rediscovered the magic of physical books, or found new all-time favorite series endings? I’d love to hear your top reads this month!
