We haven’t bought diapers or wipes in 10 months

One thing we did that has saved us SO much money while having a baby:

For our gender reveal:

• if guests thought baby was a girl → they brought wipes

• if they thought baby was a boy → they brought diapers

However many packs they brought = how many entries they got into the diaper raffle for a gift card!

We also had a ‘Huggies & Chuggies’ party where guests brought diapers + wipes, and we provided drinks at a bar.

Between both parties, we stocked up enough that our baby is now 10 months old and we still haven’t had to buy a single pack of diapers or wipes!!!

Honestly one of the best things we did while preparing for baby. 11/10 recommend!

... Read moreWhen I read about using a gender reveal party and a special baby shower to stock up on diapers and wipes, it really got me thinking about how creative celebrations can ease the financial pressure of having a baby. Hosting a diaper raffle where guests bring either diapers or wipes based on their gender guess not only adds a fun interactive element to the event but also helps build a generous stockpile of essentials. One key to making this work smoothly is to clearly communicate the raffle rules beforehand, so guests know how to participate and what to bring. Offering a desirable prize, like a gift card, motivates more attendees to contribute—and the impact can truly be long-lasting. I love the idea of combining this with a 'Huggies & Chuggies' party where diapers and wipes are brought in exchange for drinks, making the gathering festive and memorable. From personal insight, babies go through diapers and wipes at a rapid pace, so having a stash that lasts until 10 months means significant monthly savings and less last-minute running to the store. Plus, it removes some of the stress around budgeting for baby necessities. If you're planning a gender reveal or baby shower, consider these tips: incorporate a raffle system, create themed invitations explaining the gift idea, and offer fun rewards to increase participation. This approach not only prepares you with ample supplies but also builds anticipation and excitement around your upcoming arrival. Additionally, choosing quality brands like Pampers Swaddlers, as mentioned in the party details, ensures your baby stays comfortable while you enjoy the financial perks. This experience proved that with a bit of planning and creativity, you can stretch your baby budget while celebrating with loved ones.

We did the diaper and wipe thing at our gender reveal and then a diaper raffle at our baby shower and baby girl is 8 months and the only diaper I have purchased is a pack of swim diapers. We are getting low but I think we have enough for one more month 😭
