Of course I did not bake them: READ⚠️
#letschat Please of course, I have manners. 😂 Well what do we all think Americans #1 donut? I can say I found this new flavor at my local gas station and they were not what expected actually better considering to me Hostess (all products) since mid 2000’s do not taste the same and do not interest me. What about you? What’s your opinion?
💵 Price: less than $3 with tax.
Okay, so you know how sometimes you just grab something quick at the gas station, not expecting much? Well, that's exactly what happened when I spotted these "NEW!" Hostess Donettes on my last pit stop. My eyes immediately went to the vibrant packaging, and honestly, a powdered mini donut just sounded like the perfect little treat for the road. I snagged them for less than $3 – a total steal, right? I've always had a complicated relationship with Hostess. Growing up, their snacks were legendary, but somewhere in the mid-2000s, I felt like the magic faded a bit. So, when I saw these, I was curious but also a little skeptical. Were they going to be a throwback to the good old days, or just another disappointment? This particular one was a classic powdered variety, exactly like the image where you see a hand holding that perfectly coated mini donut. It really made me wonder, could this be the new contender for "America's #1 Mini Donut"? Speaking of Hostess Donettes flavors, the powdered sugar version is iconic, but I've also had my fair share of the frosted and chocolate ones. And who could forget the slightly crunchy crumb donuts Hostess sometimes offers? Those are usually a personal favorite! This new powdered flavor, while good (I rated it a 7/10, as you can see from my image snap!), made me think about all the other variations. Sometimes I wish they'd bring back some really unique limited-edition flavors. What's your go-to Donette flavor? One thing I always wonder about these packaged treats is, "how long do Hostess donuts last?" Since they're individually wrapped or come in a sealed bag, they usually have a decent shelf life, which is super convenient if you're like me and can't devour a whole bag in one sitting (though sometimes I come close!). Keeping them sealed helps, but honestly, with something this tasty, they rarely stick around for too long in my pantry. If you ever have leftovers, a cool, dry place is usually best to keep them fresh. These mini me donuts are just so perfectly sized for a quick snack, aren't they? They're fantastic for when you need a little sugar rush without committing to a giant pastry. The convenience factor of just grabbing a bag and going is unbeatable. And for the price, it's hard to complain. While I gave this new flavor a solid 7/10 for its taste and general appeal, I'm still on the hunt for something that truly blows me away and makes me confidently say, 'Yes, this is the America's #1 Mini Donut!' What are your thoughts? Have you tried the new Hostess Donettes? Or do you have another brand of mini donuts that you swear by? I'm always looking for new snack recommendations, especially those hidden gems you find at gas stations or local convenience stores. Let's chat about our favorite quick treats!

This may sound crazy but sour cream donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts. They’re lightly glazed sweet and super doughy/moist. It was an accidental discovery, but a happy one nonetheless!!
