Gel Nails - Starter Kit
Salon quality nails at home! Doing your own gel nails in the comfort of your home is fun and you’re left with durable nails without the expense and time commitment of a salon visit.
This starter kit includes all the basic necessities to achieve professional results at home. Everything pictured can be found on my Amazon store front located in my bio. I hope this helps! ♥️
1. UV/LED Nail Lamp: used to cure (harden) gel polishes. I use the big lamp to cure all my fingers and toes. I use the mini lamp when applying gel extensions to flash cure each nail before doing a full cure under the big lamp.
2. Nail Prep Tools: electric nail drill, cuticle cutters, filers, and buffers. Used to shape, trim, and smooth nails before applying gel polishes. Proper nail prep is crucial for long-lasting results!
3. Nail Primer/Dehydrator: primer before base coat to further ensure a strong bond. Dehydrator before applying gel extensions to remove excess moisture/oils from the nail surface to create a better adhesion.
4. Base Coat/Top Coat: base coat prepares the nail surface for gel application. Top coat seals the color for long lasting glossy finish.
5. Gel Polishes: I use DND gel polishes. The colors are all beautiful and there are soooo many options to choose from!
6. Cuticle Oil: I apply my cuticle oil after finishing my nails and I also use it every night before bed. I apply a SMALL amount directly to the cuticles and surrounding skin, massaging in it gently. Then I apply hand lotion for extra moisture and to lock it all in. *the one I linked smells soooo good!
BONUS ITEMS - Nail Art Tools: various size brushes for nail art, brushes for cleaning up polish that gets on your skin, dotting tools, sponges for ombré effect, and the french tip stamper

Achieving professional nail results at home has never been easier with the right tools and techniques. A gel nails starter kit typically includes a high-quality UV/LED lamp that cures the gel polish to a durable finish, ensuring longevity. Nail prep tools such as electric drills and cuticle cutters are crucial for shaping and smoothing nails to create a polished base before applying gel. Using a nail primer helps in enhancing the adhesion of gel products, creating a smooth surface for polish application. Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails and a top coat for a glossy finish that not only looks great but lasts longer. Gel polishes come in a variety of beautiful colors, allowing for creativity and personalization. Integrating cuticle oil in your routine post-application nourishes the surrounding skin, while nightly use locks in moisture. Bonus nail art tools enhance creativity, enabling you to create detailed designs and trendy nail effects. Remember, practice makes perfect when it comes to at-home gel nails, so don't be discouraged if it doesn't turn out perfect the first time!
