I got accepted into nursing school!

I got accepted into nursing school today and I’m so excited but I have no idea what I’ll need besides the program required items. Are the subscriptions really worth it (NurseNexus, simple nursing , ect) ? What are y’all’s biggest tips? Also please don’t come to the comments saying run…. #nursingstudentlife #nursestudent #semester1 #nursingstudenttips

I’m a nurse consider the OG nurse it’s been that long if your heart is into really helping others I say go for it… if it’s because of just the pay I say run because we have enough heartless health officials out there. Congratulations 🎉🎊🎈 nursing is a passion not a career welcome to the team beautiful 😃🫶🏽🍋

HA! The run part tickled me. What I will say is Nurse nexus on YouTube will be your best friend. I don’t pay for her stuff but I’m thinking about it. She breaks down questions beautifully. Simple nursing helps me and I do pay for that. I test myself on there frequently. Tips that I have is study every day. Even if it’s an hour. Find out HOW you study and tweak it. Understand the WHY of everything. That will help you retain things. If you have dosage calc first, go ahead and start looking at how to do it so that you know which method you’re comfortable with. Learn measurement conversions (mL to L, etc.). Uh, keep a positive mindset. Cry if you need to but don’t lie in it. It’s as hard as you make it. Read up every chance you get so that you won’t see it for the first time in class. Remember why you wanted to get into this profession and always do your very best in any situation. Practice what you’ve learned by acting it out or making scripts (for labs, like head to toe, teach suctioning, etc.). Last but not least, be excited and open to be there. It’s so much fun and it can be stressful but it’s amazing. Good luck 💕
