Spirits: Some people see some people don’t
Question: Amanda why do some people see spirits/ghosts & some people don’t?
I have touched on this subject many times over the years but let’s delve into it again in more detail.

We are all born with a sixth sense (to see beyond) every single one of us, yes that includes you readings this. Some of us nurtured that gift (even silently) some of us were blinded, and what I mean by being blinded is it’s more so to do with your conditioning from your families, friends and surroundings in our life that shuts us down to see and think for ourselves, especially as children and young adults, especially from judgements and criticism.
As children we tend to view our life through our carers lenses, especially in early years. If you don’t continue to see with your own lenses you will lose your ability to view life and your surroundings for yourself and take on your family, friends and teachers visions for your life. Moulding us into what they want from us not what we want for ourselves and that absolutely includes interfering with our sixth sense and what we perceive.
Some of us grew up scared seeing spirits/ghosts and would share that with our family or friends even though most times we were either told we imagined it or we were making up stories for attention or we have an overactive imagination even worse that we were unstable. This can automatically shut down a child’s sixth sense and their ability to interact with spirit. It can make that child feel ashamed and they feel unheard and that no one believes in them. Some of us rarer souls have family that nurtured their child’s gift like Bill and myself with our children. My family didn’t nurture my gift as a child so I didn’t want my children to be afraid of everything that goes bump in the night, they would talk to us about their experiences and we made them feel safe.
Some of us broke the mould and kept persisting that what we are experiencing is very real and so much more than what others tell us what we should believe. A small percentage of us took the road far less traveled we knew what we experienced was real with spirits/ghosts and other entities and we knew deep down inside us there was something far bigger at play but we didn’t understand what it was. We just decided to never share that information with anyone anymore because of how our elders made us feel. So therefore our journey began lonely and isolated. We were searching for answers and wanted to meet others like ourselves but boy was that journey difficult, isolated and a long lonely road.
Unfortunately people are afraid of what they don’t understand and life-after death frightens some people as it is still seen as a taboo subject in this day and age. That's big stuff to think about, life-after death and eternal life even more so when we were children. I was seeing and interacting with spirit from age three, so understandably that is my entire life, interacting between both realities of life and the afterlife.
I also believe that some people don’t want to believe in life after death so they shut off that sense. As I said the afterlife is a taboo subject for many and it can be difficult for some souls to imagine or understand life beyond the physical. I not only believe spirit/ghosts are around us all the time, I know it as a medium. Some individuals just don’t see/hear/feel or experience it for themselves as they have shut down that sense either through family conditioning or not wanting to travel down that road. Others with a more open perspective on the subject of spirit makes us a little more open to experiences with the afterlife. The more you seek spirit and other worldly phenomenon the more chances are you’ll have an experience.
I believe the more you believe in something, the more open, you’ll become to experience other worldly phenomena throughout your life. I had a friend who didn’t believe in life after death, and we actually went our separate ways a long time ago now, he thought I was crazy. A few months before he actually passed away, he finally reached out to me to let me know that he had seen his mother’s spirit, this was not long before he passed away. So as he was drawing closer to crossing over (death) he had an experience and was given the sight of his deceased mother. I believe because he was so close to death himself that the Veil opened up for him bringing him peace before his own death.
As a retired nurse, I’ve seen many people pass away. I’ve seen many people who have been in an out of consciousness state who suddenly sit up bright eyed, pointing to the corner of the room, telling me that mum, dad, or a loved one is there waiting for them to take them home and then it’s not long after their experience they pass away. People who become closer to the thinning veil seem to get the sight just before death, even if they’ve never experienced spirit throughout their lives. As I have discussed many times, not all people before death experience this; some don’t see a light or family, and I’ve talked about this in my article (⚠️ Suic-de Content ⚠️ Spirits/ghosts why some stay and why some don’t). I have added the article below.
The really important thing to remember is that a lot of children will experience spirit, and that’s why it’s so important not to shut them down or their experiences. Children have what I call fresh eyes, they see, they hear, they experience spirit and other entities because they have not yet been conditioned to shut that sixth sense down, especially ages 2 and up. That’s why it’s really important to nurture and listen to a child’s experience. By shutting down a child’s sense of seeing, I believe you are teaching that child to not only shut off their gift, but you make them afraid, and that can do incredible damage to that child, especially as they grow. Not everything, of course, is paranormal child’s play and imagination is a part of their growth and development, but not everything is explainable and children have the sight through their flesh eyes.
We all have different experiences throughout our individual lives, and that can dramatically impair our relationship with life after death.
There are many factors why some people see spirits and some don’t.

⚠️ Su:cide - Ghosts, why some stay and why some don’t⚠️
I’ve touched on this subject several times throughout the years. Many people will ask me, “Amanda, why do some souls stay on the earth realm and some cross over?”.
I believe there are many factors why, so I’ll touch on a few.
Everything is made up of vibrations. Some of us are higher in vibration and frequency than others. I’m not saying this as a bad or good thing, it’s just a fact. Not all of us are on the same path, some are on a path of self-destruction while some of us are on the path of a higher calling.
Some of us don’t believe in life after death, and some do. We are all brought up differently, different families, different personalities, different religions and cultures, which all play a huge part in our conditioning as we grow into adulthood. Some of us live a fairly good life, some of us lose our way, we are all individuals and human beings having a spiritual experience, some of us check out early and simply say it's enough, I’m tired. Some people die suddenly and tragically, and some don’t believe in life after death; some are afraid of the taboo subject of death and what lies beyond due to the lives they’ve lived. Some believe in punishment after death and are afraid to move forward to the light. Some just don’t want to let go of their earthly life. These reasons are personal to that individual's soul, and there are “many” factors why people don’t cross over into the afterlife. Religion, cultures and upbringing and personal beliefs can hinder our relationships with death and what is before us.
Years ago, now myself and Bill did a spirit rescue at a residence in Melbourne. A young lady who committed su:cide was causing havoc in the new owners' lives. This young soul, Lisa was unfortunately pregnant at the time of her death. As a medium, I was given a lot of feedback from Lisa. She was raised a Catholic, and her parents were appalled by her pregnancy as an unwed mother-to-be. Lisa saw the only way out and took her own life. Her parents had both passed many years later at the same residence, and Lisa was left behind, frightened and on the verge of madness. This was causing the new owners some real serious issues, so we were asked to help. I asked this young lady if she saw a light when she died, and she said she didn’t. This also happened to a friend of mine who died of an overdose, he didn’t see a light or family when he died.
I believe due to her vibrations and frequency at the time of her death she didn’t see or experience a light (I believe the light was there but due to her vibrations and frequency and also her state of mind she couldn’t see it), she feared the other side due to her upbringing and her religious beliefs due to the fact she committed su:cide while being pregnant in her eyes was a grave sin. This young soul was tortured, and Bill and I did a series of prayers and asked her family to come forward (her father came forward), and she went home, and it was a successful spirit rescue.
Sadly, not all spirit rescues go to plan, and some choose to stay behind due to fear and believed consequences in the afterlife. That is a personal decision, and why spirit rescue is so very important.
