Some of my Favorite Thrifts!!
My favorite places to thrift are FB Marketplace, Etsy, and occasionally in person in thrift/antique shops! I have struck some major thrift gold over the years, and these are some of my all time favorites 💛
What’s your favorite piece?
Thrifting has become a personal journey for me, filled with excitement and surprises that keep me coming back for more. Over the years, I've learned that the thrill isn't just about what you find but where and how you search. Platforms like FB Marketplace offer a treasure trove of vintage items—I've scored amazing pieces such as a ~1920 fireplace surround and an ~1850 pie cabinet, which add character and history to my home. Etsy provides another fantastic option, especially for those who appreciate curated antique and vintage items from sellers who take pride in their finds. I've found unique framed garden art and charming bud vases that are perfect for gifting or decorating. Visiting local thrift and antique shops occasionally unearths gems like rocking chairs and hutches not often available online. One memorable find was a beautifully crafted chair that now serves as a statement piece. When thrifting, patience and persistence are key. It’s helpful to set alerts on online marketplaces and visit different shops regularly. Don’t hesitate to negotiate prices—many sellers appreciate a genuine conversation, which can lead to better deals. Overall, thrifting is as much about the experience and stories behind the pieces as the items themselves.
