BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PRAY FOR ✨

Sometimes we are so desperate for clarity, for control, for the outcome we want, that we start wrestling with the will of God. We push. We beg. We demand. But what we fail to realize is that forcing something in the name of “faith” is not faith at all, it’s fear disguised as trust. It’s saying “God, I know better than you” or “God, I know how to handle this situation better than you”.
In 1 Samuel 8, the people of Israel no longer wanted to be led by God. They wanted a king (a man) to rule over them like the other nations. They rejected God’s leadership because it didn’t look like what they thought it should. And though it grieved God, He gave them what they asked for. He removed His hand of favor from what He wanted for them and allowed them to walk in what they wanted instead. And it came with consequences like pain, war and sorrow.

Sometimes unanswered prayers are actually God’s protection. Sometimes silence is a sacred pause, not rejection. And sometimes His “no” is really a “not yet” because He’s preparing you for something greater than you can see. Sometimes it looks like a completely closed door and if you knew what was behind it, you’d be rejoicing. You don’t need all the answers, just trust He knows best.
John 13:7 is a gentle but powerful reminder:
You don’t understand now, but someday you will.
Trust Him.
Don’t make an idol out of your timeline.
Don’t twist God’s arm and call it bold faith.
Wait on the Lord because forcing your way may just lead to walking alone, without His covering.
And nothing is worth that.
