Fave iPad Feature?

2025/8/25 Edited to

... Read moreYou know how sometimes you stumble upon a feature that just changes everything for your workflow? For me, it's been the incredible split screen multitasking on my iPad, especially when I'm diving deep into Canva projects! I used to switch back and forth between apps constantly, which was such a time drain. But once I got the hang of going side-by-side, it felt like unlocking a whole new level of productivity. Let me tell you, if you're working on an iPad Air and using Canva, getting that side-by-side action going is a game-changer. Imagine designing in Canva on one half of your screen while referencing notes, inspiration images, or even an email on the other. It’s super simple to set up: just drag an app from your Dock over to the side of an already open app. For Canva, I often have Safari open with my mood board or a Pinterest tab, or sometimes my Notes app with project specifics. The best part? The seamless copy-paste functionality between these two windows. Need a hex code from a website? Copy it from Safari and paste it directly into Canva without ever leaving your design. Or maybe you've got some text you drafted in Pages; just grab it and drop it right into your Canva design. It makes revisions and content creation so much quicker and less frustrating. Beyond the pure functionality, let's talk about making your iPad Air setup truly *aesthetic*. Because let's be real, a beautiful workspace inspires better work, right? For my iPad Air aesthetic setup, I focus on a few key areas. First, my wallpaper and widget choices. I love a calming, minimalist background that complements my current design projects, and I use Smart Stacks for widgets to keep my home screen clutter-free but still functional (think calendar, weather, and a quick note widget). For me, especially for 2SCHOOL projects, having my schedule and reminders visible but not overwhelming is key. Next up, accessories! A cute case that offers good protection but also looks stylish is a must. I'm currently obsessed with pastel-colored cases. And if you're doing a lot of design work in Canva, investing in a good quality screen protector that mimics paper can really enhance the drawing and writing experience with the Apple Pencil. It feels more natural and less slippery. Physical organization around my iPad also plays a huge role. Keeping my desk tidy, with only essential items like my iPad stand, a small plant, and a comfortable keyboard, helps maintain that aesthetic vibe. It’s not just about looks; it's about creating an environment where you feel focused and inspired. This whole setup, from the split-screen multitasking with Canva to the thoughtful aesthetic touches, has become your fave iPad feature for me. It's truly transformed how I approach my creative and academic tasks. What's your secret to a productive and beautiful iPad workflow? Maybe you'll find some of these tips helpful for your own setup!
