do doctors even listen anymore?

I felt so discouraged. I wasn’t even asking for a permanent med change, just a chance to try something that actually fit my thyroid stats. But my doctor wouldn’t even consider it.

She didn’t ask follow-up questions, didn’t want to hear what I’d researched, didn’t want to discuss. Just: “No. There’s not enough research.”

Meanwhile, that med has helped so many people with my same condition. Why gate keep it? It’s frustrating when doctors act like your lived experience means nothing.
