Saturdays in Tuscaloosa!

This Saturday, me and my boyfriend decided to make the most out of our day. We started by waking up early to go to the Tuscaloosa River Market and looked around at all of the vendors. We then went by Panera and got some lunch and had a picnic at Manderson Landing. While we were there we also got to watch the rowing team practice. After our picnic, we did a little bit of cleaning, then headed to Coleman Coliseum. Saturday was our last basketball game so we waited a few hours outside and then go to go watch Alabama beat Auburn! It was truly a great day!

From my own experience exploring the Tuscaloosa River Market early in the morning, it’s amazing to see the variety of local vendors offering handmade goods, fresh produce, and unique crafts. It’s a perfect spot for anyone looking to support local artisans while enjoying a vibrant atmosphere. After browsing the market, grabbing lunch from Panera Bread and taking it to Manderson Landing for a picnic really enhances the day. Manderson Landing is a scenic spot by the river where you can relax and watch different activities, including the impressive rowing team practices. Seeing the athletes train is both inspiring and adds a dynamic element to the peaceful picnic setting. Waiting to get into Coleman Coliseum for the final basketball game of the season was definitely worth it. The thrill of watching Alabama beat Auburn in this iconic rivalry created an electric atmosphere that every sports fan should experience. Saturdays like this highlight why Tuscaloosa is such a great place for college students and visitors alike. Whether you love local markets, outdoor picnics, or electrifying college sports, there’s something special about embracing all these experiences in one day.
