Jazzmin went to the vet today.
I noticed a huge lump on her tummy two days ago that was leaking pus. She went to the vet today. Her mammary gland is involved and while we are hoping it is just inflammation and infection and a course of antibiotics will make it go away, it could be something else… 🥺 Just in case we’re approaching the end I got her a burger. She’ll be 15 in November. I know she’s had a long good life, but hoping we’ll still have more years together. She has been the best dog ever and has been like my first born child almost. She’s my daughter’s best friend as well. #dogsoflemon8 #sickdog #chorkie #yorkipoo #chorkieyorkipoo
When our pets experience health issues, it's a challenging time for pet owners. It's crucial to regularly check for any unusual lumps or symptoms that could indicate underlying health concerns, such as tumors or infections. In Jazzmin's case, the vet suspected possible inflammation and infection of the mammary gland, common in older dogs. If similar symptoms occur, have an open discussion with your vet about testing options and treatment plans, especially if antibiotics are prescribed. Ensure that your furry friend remains comfortable and loved during recovery. As our pets age, they deserve extra care, and spending quality time together can significantly improve their well-being. Also, monitoring their behavior and appetite can provide crucial clues about their health. Don't forget the significance of regular vet check-ups, which can catch potential issues early! Pets often rely on us for their health, and just as owners want their companions to be happy, forming that deep bond can make necessary vet visits less worrisome. Let's keep sharing our experiences and supporting one another on platforms like #dogsoflemon8, encouraging pet owners to prioritize their cherished pets’ health.
