Rylee and Erin oc

So many of you have been curious about Rylee and Erin, my original characters! I'm so thrilled to share a bit more about them and my creative process. Rylee, the one with the dark hair and that vibrant yellow streak, is definitely the more mischievous of the two. She's always up for an adventure, and her blue heart-shaped crop top and shorts perfectly capture her playful spirit. Erin, with her gorgeous curly orange hair, is a bit more thoughtful but equally spirited, often seen with a sweet smile and making a peace sign. Her red heart-shaped crop top paired with a blue skirt with cute heart pockets and red boots reflects her warm and artistic soul. I love bringing these two to life on my digital canvas! Creating their look in this anime-style has been an absolute joy. You might notice elements that give off a 'jelly art style' vibe – that soft, often translucent, and sometimes almost glowing aesthetic that makes characters look so sweet and vibrant. I achieve this through specific coloring techniques, often using soft gradients and subtle highlights to give that plump, almost squishy look that's so popular. It's all about making them feel alive and full of energy, fitting their personalities perfectly. The light green background really helps their colors pop, too! For those wondering what an 'original character' (OC) really means, it's a character that I've completely created from my imagination. They aren't based on real people or existing stories; they come entirely from my own ideas and artistic vision. Developing OCs like Rylee and Erin is a huge part of my passion for digital art. It involves everything from sketching initial concepts to refining their outfits – like Erin's blue skirt with heart pockets or Rylee's blue heart-shaped crop top.
