34 weeks + 1 day ultrasound

Oh my goodness, I just had to share about our latest pregnancy milestone – the 34-week ultrasound! It feels like just yesterday we saw that tiny little bean, and now here we are, so close to meeting our baby girl. This scan was particularly special because it was a detailed growth scan, and we even got a fantastic 3D view. We arrived at the clinic, and honestly, the anticipation was huge. While my partner was patiently scrolling on his phone in the waiting room, I couldn't stop thinking about what we'd see this time. It’s truly amazing how quickly things progress. Soon enough, it was our turn. Lying down, feeling the cool gel applied to my pregnant belly, and then the familiar glide of the ultrasound probe – it all just brings a wave of excitement. The sonographer started with the usual 2D checks, taking all the necessary measurements for the growth scan. We saw the strong heartbeat and watched her move around a bit. But the real magic happened when they switched to 3D. Suddenly, there it was, right on the medical monitor – a clear, almost lifelike 3D ultrasound image of our baby's face! At 34 weeks and 1 day, her features are so defined. We could see her little nose, her chubby cheeks, and even a hint of a smile. It was absolutely breathtaking; you could almost feel her personality shining through. The clarity from their advanced machine was incredible. This ultrasound isn't just for fun, though; it’s also a crucial growth scan. The doctor explained they were checking her size, making sure she's growing well, and confirming her position – head down, thankfully! They also looked at the amniotic fluid levels and blood flow to ensure everything is perfect. Getting that reassurance that our little one is thriving and healthy is such a huge relief. They even printed out some of the most adorable 3D ultrasound pictures for us to take home. We've already put them in a frame; they’re such a precious keepsake of this journey. Seeing her face so clearly makes everything feel so much more real. We’ve been busy preparing her nursery, and seeing these images just adds to the excitement. I even bought a new set of soft plush bunny toys today, imagining her snuggling with them soon. It’s hard to believe we’re in the final stretch, with just a few more weeks until we meet her earthside. Every little kick and roll feels even more significant now. This 34-week ultrasound truly brought her to life for us in a whole new way, and we're just counting down the days until we can hold her in our arms.
