1. From the Great Wesson
When Vesson and Mrs. Matri left the forest and returned to the city, the wild ghosts + the animals who loved him, so they lurked with the villagers to come and send them away, so the villagers called "ghosts after people" and became "hairy-eyed ghosts."
2. Legend of Grandfather Ye - Grandma Ye
A pair of dead grandparents volunteered to cut the giant Kad Mountains that shade the sun for the city of Kan. Finally, the Kad Mountains fell to death. The villagers appreciated it, so they set up a shrine to worship the "fur" of Grandfather Ye-Ye Ye. A8e1

5. Important beliefs
After playing, on the 3rd day, the person dressed as the ghost with the eyes of the pantomime must take off the whole costume. * Throw away the barren river * Do not take home = throw away suffering. Bad things to the water.

เทศกาลผีตาโขนถือเป็นหนึ่งในงานบุญประเพณีที่โดดเด่นและน่าทึ่งที่สุดของประเทศไทย โดยเฉพาะที่อำเภอด่านซ้าย จังหวัดเลย ซึ่งในฐานะที่เคยมีโอกาสเข้าร่วมงานนี้ บอกได้เลยว่านอกจากจะได้เห็นความสนุกสนานของผู้คนที่แต่งตัวเป็นผีตาโขนแล้ว งานนี้ยังเต็มไปด้วยความหมายและจิตวิญญาณของชุมชนอย่างลึกซึ้ง งานผีตาโขนมักจะจัดขึ้นในช่วงเดือน 7 ตามปฏิทินจันทรคติ คือราวเดือนมิถุนายนถึงกรกฎาคมของทุกปี ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของงานบุญหลวง หรือที่เรียกอีกชื่อว่า "บุญผะเหวด" ซึ่งรวบรวมบุญพระเวสตามตำนานและพิธีต่างๆ เช่น บุญบั้งไฟและบุญซำฮะ พร้อมกันนี้ ชาวบ้านจะจัดขบวนแห่หน้ากากผีตาโขนที่ทำจากวัสดุธรรมชาติ เช่น โคนก้านมะพร้าวและกระดาษฉาบ ตกแต่งด้วยสีสันสดใส ลวดลายไทยที่สวยงาม น่าประทับใจอย่างมาก นอกจากความสนุกสนานในพิธีและขบวนแห่ หน้ากากผีตาโขนยังเต็มไปด้วยประวัติความเป็นมาและความเชื่อถึงการเชิญวิญญาณผีบรรพบุรุษมาเล่นเพื่อขวัญกำลังใจและขอฝน ยิ่งไปกว่านั้น หลังจากงานผ่านไป ผู้ที่สวมชุดผีตาโขนจำเป็นต้องถอดชุดทั้งหมดและโยนลงในแม่น้ำหมันตามความเชื่อ เพื่อเป็นการทิ้งความทุกข์และสิ่งไม่ดีออกไป ถือว่าเป็นพิธีกรรมที่สะท้อนถึงวัฒนธรรมและจิตใจของชุมชนอย่างลึกซึ้ง ในการเข้าร่วมชมงานจริงเราได้สัมผัสถึงความอบอุ่นของชาวบ้านที่รักษาประเพณีนี้ไว้ มีกิจกรรมให้ผู้ชมร่วมสนุกและเรียนรู้ประวัติศาสตร์ผีตาโขนผ่านการเล่าเรื่องอย่างใกล้ชิด เป็นการเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจและความภูมิใจในวัฒนธรรมอันล้ำค่าของไทย อีกทั้งยังเป็นโอกาสอันดีที่นักท่องเที่ยวจะได้สัมผัสวิวทิวทัศน์ธรรมชาติและวิถีชีวิตดั้งเดิมของชุมชนด่านซ้าย ถ้าคุณสนใจวัฒนธรรมไทยและอยากสัมผัสประเพณีที่มีความเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของภาคอีสาน เทศกาลผีตาโขนเป็นหนึ่งในไฮไลต์ที่ไม่ควรพลาดอย่างยิ่ง เพราะที่นี่ไม่ใช่แค่เพียงงานเทศกาลแต่มันคือการบอกเล่าเรื่องราวของความเชื่อ วิถีชีวิต และความเป็นหนึ่งเดียวของชุมชนที่สืบทอดมากว่าร้อยปี
