I've been looking for something quick, satisfying, and truly good for me, and this Greek yogurt bowl with flax seeds and granola hit all the right notes. It’s become my new go-to, and I just had to share why I love it so much. First off, let's talk about Greek yogurt. If you're not already a fan, you should be! It's incredibly creamy and packed with protein, which keeps me feeling fuller for longer. This means no more mid-afternoon energy crashes or reaching for unhealthy treats. Plus, it's great for gut health, which is a huge bonus in my book. I usually opt for plain Greek yogurt so I can control the sweetness and add my own flavors. Then come the star ingredients: flax seeds. These tiny powerhouses are absolutely incredible. Just like their cousin, chia seeds (which I sometimes swap in!), flax seeds are loaded with omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and lignans. The omega-3s are fantastic for heart health, and the fiber really helps with digestion. I love the subtle nutty crunch they add to the smooth yogurt.
